Corrections Policy

When a factual error changes a reader’s understanding or action, the correction should be as visible as the mistake deserves.

Report an error

Email hello@searchengineanswer.com with the URL, disputed claim, supporting evidence, and the date you observed it.

How reports are reviewed

We open the cited source, check the claim in its original context, review the page’s evidence ledger when available, and distinguish an error from a new development, interpretation difference, or scope limitation.

What changes are documented

  • Material factual errors receive a correction or update note and a revised modified date.
  • Small spelling, formatting, and clarity edits may be fixed without a formal note when meaning is unchanged.
  • New product behavior or later evidence is labeled as an update rather than presented as an original-publication error.
  • If the central conclusion becomes unsupported, the page may be substantially revised, redirected, or withdrawn with an explanation.

No silent authority

A credible correction record is more useful than pretending the original page was always right. We do not remove a well-supported correction merely because it is inconvenient to a vendor, advertiser, or author.
