About the publication

About SearchEngineAnswer

SearchEngineAnswer is an independent publication about SEO, AEO, AI search, search visibility, publishing systems, and the tools used to measure them. It is built for people who need to make a decision or complete a task, not collect another definition.

Last updated August 29, 2026

Who the publication is for

The primary readers are independent publishers, site owners, SEO practitioners, consultants, content teams, small agencies, and in-house marketers. Articles explain beginner-sensitive concepts when necessary, but retain the method, evidence, and limitations an experienced practitioner needs to evaluate the recommendation.

The editorial scope covers crawling, indexing, technical SEO, content architecture, Google Search, AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search, Gemini, Perplexity, citations, LLM visibility, referral measurement, structured data, research workflows, and focused browser tools.

What each format promises

FormatWhat the reader should receive
NewsA verified change, its date and availability, the primary announcement, what remains unknown, and a practical implication beyond a rewritten release note.
ArticleA direct answer to one focused question, a concrete example, the important boundary, and a useful next action.
GuideAn ordered workflow with prerequisites, observable completion criteria, failure states, and final verification.
ResearchA stated question, retained dataset or observations, method, result, limitations, and an inspectable artifact when possible.
ReviewThe access conditions, testing method, results by reader job, tradeoffs, credible alternatives, and commercial disclosure.
Checklist or toolTestable steps or focused inputs and outputs, plus an explanation of what the result can and cannot establish.

Unfinished research protocols are not presented as completed studies. During the August 2026 editorial audit, protocol pages without results were removed from public collections and search indexing until their declared tests are completed.

Who is responsible

Abdessalam Alaoui founded SearchEngineAnswer and is currently its writer and editor. At this stage, one named publisher is responsible for the complete editorial record. That makes the byline meaningful: the same person is accountable for source selection, interpretation, updates, and corrections.

The publication may add contributors in the future. A contributor must receive an individual author page, disclose relevant commercial relationships, distinguish first-hand work from sourced reporting, and remain accountable for the material carrying that byline. SearchEngineAnswer does not publish anonymous guest posts or sell bylines and followed links.

How an article is produced

  1. Define the reader’s question, decision, or task and the boundary of the page.
  2. Build a source record using primary documentation, original datasets, direct observations, and independent analysis where it adds context.
  3. Classify important statements as documented fact, direct observation, attributed opinion, reasoned inference, recommendation, or unresolved uncertainty.
  4. Choose the original contribution before drafting. A polished summary is not enough.
  5. Check quotations, numbers, dates, product availability, links, metadata, and the wording of limitations.
  6. Publish a named author, original date, meaningful update date, related resources, and the method or disclosure required by the format.

AI may assist with bounded research organization, analysis, editing, or production tasks. It is not treated as a source and cannot invent first-person experience. The named author remains responsible under the AI-use and fact-checking policy.

What we do not promise

No article, schema field, checklist, tool, or optimization can guarantee crawling, indexing, ranking, Google News inclusion, Discover traffic, an AI citation, a referral, or revenue. Search products vary by query, location, account, interface, and date. Recommendations are bounded by the evidence and should be verified against the reader’s own site and current primary documentation.

Accountability and contact

Read the editorial policy, corrections policy, advertising policy, and affiliate disclosure. To question a claim or report an error, include the URL, disputed passage, evidence, and date through the contact page.
