Commercial transparency
Advertising and Sponsorship Policy
Commercial support must be recognizable, separate from editorial judgment, and unable to buy a conclusion.
Last updated August 6, 2026
no active display-ad placement is configured on the site at this update.
Clear labeling
Paid placements, sponsored research, supplied products, travel support, or other material relationships must be labeled in plain language near the affected content.
Editorial control
An advertiser or sponsor may check its own factual details, but cannot approve the conclusion, remove a supported criticism, select an undisclosed ranking position, or rewrite the evidence standard.
Separation from the reading experience
Advertising must not imitate navigation, obscure the article, create deceptive download buttons, or interrupt access to the main answer. Speed, accessibility, and mobile usability remain publication requirements.
Restricted relationships
SEA may decline categories, claims, targeting practices, or creative that conflict with reader safety, applicable rules, or editorial credibility.
